This is one of the greatest styles of mini or go go dresses from the 1970's.
This style dress is hard to find.
The center piece is adorned with rhinestones and
pearls and is actually quite sparkly.
The true black polyester double knit dress is about a
today's size 4 - 6 petite.
I say petite based on the length of the top empire section.
It measures approximately 12 1/4" from the shoulder down to that empire seam which should hit underneath one's breast.
So
the empire waisted dress might best fit someone who is 5'4" or shorter.
The chest measures 35" around at the most.
It would probably best fit a 32" chest, which would allow the gathered fabric to lay right.
The seam across that will fit the ribs right under the breasts is 29".
The skirt is flared, but would look best on hips that are 36" or smaller.
The length of the minidress is likely best for
someone who is 5'4" or shorter.
A strappy black platform sandal or silver go go boots would go well with the
dress.
